Cash is good but sometimes you need credit especially for big purchases like home, car or in going to college. To avail yourself of a credit, you need to show your credibility. One sure hit to start with is at your very own home. Request your parents to use your name in one utility bill. Whether you pay it or your parents are paying it, as long as the bill is paid in full and on time, is already a good start. But I suggest YOU should pay it because this will make it easier for you to become responsible once you are already in the true scene of a major credit purchase.
Your parents, relatives, and close friend can save the day. Using them as co-signer, you can avail yourself a credit. A co-signer also shares the responsibility for repaying a loan if you are unable to make payments. If you want to redeem and re-establish your low credit history, a co-signer is also a “savior”.
In the meantime, start looking who your “real friends” are. I say real friends because friends alone do not guarantee a “yes” to your credit request. You can also make use of your parents good credit score for your own loan application.
Wanting to buy in credit but have no credit history? Start showering your parents, your potential friends and relatives with gifts or kisses for a fast and firm “yes” to your co-signer request.
